Alternative Energy Integrator
ITP 918 600 hours $5,032.00

This program will prepare someone for jobs in the rapidly expanding field of "GREEN". The cutting edge nature of "Alternative Energy" opens the door t a wide variety of job opportunities in this area. New technology and improvement in existing technologies creates a need for a workforce that understands the Physics and Chemistry of how energy is stored, transferred and produced. Fuel cells, and the accompanying technology, are curretnly part of our local industry and require the undertand of a PEM type fuel cell. Photovoltaic and Wind Energy require fundamental understanding of Meteorology in order to properly place these devices. The integration of these devices in our everyday lives will steadily increase and will be soon found in homes, cars and industry. The State of Ohio has targeted Alternative Energy as the number one industry for transforming its workforce. Upon completion of this course, you will receive and Auburn Certificate and will be prepared to take the Alternative Energy Integrator (ETA) exam. Book fee $150.00. ETA exam fees are additional.

 
Automotive Collision Repair
ITP 904 300 Hours $2,489.00

ITP 904 09/07/10-06/02/11 Tues & Thurs 5:00 - 9:30 pm

This program develops skills necessary for repairing and refinishing interior and exterior components of conventional and unitized body vehicles. All aspects of automotive refinishing, collision repair, major collision rebuilding, frame straightening and unibody repair are presented. Learn the basics of metal shrinking, basic oxy-fuel and MIG welding, panel replacement, filler applications and rough out methods. Final refinishing procedures include painting, color sanding, machine polishing/buffing and pinstriping. Includes a 10-hour OSHA Safety Program. Books additional (appox. cost $150). Automotive Technology
ITP 902 600 Hours $4,068.00

ITP 902 09/07/10-06/09/11 Mon thru Thur 5:30 - 10:00 pm

Today's sophisticated cars demand more thoroughly trained technicians. These automotive technicians must make quick and accurate diagnoses, posses good reasoning skills and overall knowledge of automobiles. This course provides actual hands-on experience and you may be eligible to take the Automotive Service Excellence Certificate tests.

Course topics include: Shop safety, Brakes, Antilock Brake Systems, Electrical systems, Computer Alignments, Tire Diagnosis & Repair, Engine Performance, Fuel Injection, Scan Tool Diagnois Emissions. Includes a 10-hour OSHA Safety Program.

Books additional (approx. $100). Tools required, request list from Adult Office. Pell Grant eligible.

Cosmetology

This program is designed to prepare students to enter the Cosmetology profession after taking the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology licensing exam and receiving their Cosmetology license. Books additional (approx. $300) Additional cost for kit to be ordered the first night of class.*Pell Grant Eligible

Course topics include: Sanitation & Bacteriology, Scalp Care, Hair I, Hair II, Manicuring, Skin Care, Salon Operations & Communication Skills, and Cosmetology Laws and Rules.


 
Heating and Air Conditioning
ITP 909 600 Hours $4,545.00

This two-year program encompasses the ever expanding heating and air conditioning fields. CFC refrigeration recovery/recycling certification test is included. NATE test is offered. Additional cost for books (approx. $135).

Course Topics Include: Electrical, Heating and Air Conditioning Controls, Flame Safeguard Controls, Basic and Advanced Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Controls and Zone Controls.

Licensed Practical Nursing Program (LPN)

The program will prepare individuals to specialize in delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in any stage of wellness or illness. LPN graduates will work closely with physicians, registered nurses and other health care professionals to deliver highly skilled nursing care.

As part of our Healcare Career Pathways partnership with Lakeland Community College, students who complete the program will be able to continue their career pathway education in Lakeland's two-year nursing program. Course consists of theory, skill development and patient contact through a variety of clinical experiences. Develop the skills necessary to be an Administrative Professional. Students will master technology, be provided with top-notch interpersonal and communication skills, and learn to manage projects. Topics include: communication and employability skills, office procedures for the 21st century, basic medical terminology, automated accounting and Microsoft Office. Welding
