Fire Inspector
FIR 029 80 Hours $668.00

FIR 029 5/3/10-6/12/10 6:00 - 10:00pm
Requirements for this class: 1) You must be employed by one of the following: a. The office of the State Fire Marshall b. Public Fire Department c. Private Fire Company 2) A letter of recommendation from your employer. 3) Applicant must hold a valid firefighter certificate. This documentation verification must accompany registration.

Requirements for this class are as follows:

Fire Instructor
FIR 019 60 Hours $580.00

FIR 019 03/23/10 - 05/18/10 Tues & Thurs 6:00 - 10:00 pm
See Prerequisites. *Passing score of Fire Knowledge Exam with minimum of 80%. *Five years experience as a firefighter on a fire department.

An additional 10 hours of supervised training is required.

  1. 5 Years experience as a Firefighter (on a fire department)
  2. Letter of Reference from Chief or Training Officer
  3. Passing score of 80% on Fire Knowledge Exam (please call the adult office to register for state exam) Price includes book.
 
Firefighter I & II
FIR 042 256 Hours $970.00

Receive the highest level of certification as a certified firefighter. Limited space available. Students successfully completing this course may receive credit toward four fire science technology courses at Lakeland Community College.

Volunteer Firefighter
FIR 036 36 Hours $447.00

FIR 036A 9/16/10-11/18/10 Th 6:00 - 10:00pm
FIR 036B 01/13/11-3/17/11 Th 6::00 - 10))pm
Upon successful completion of class training, students are eligible to take state exam for Volunteer Firefighter certification. Must be 18 years of age and out of high school. Physical exam required. Additional cost for books (approx. cost $90).
