AUBURN’S USE POLICY
The use of Auburn's
technology and communication are combined to provide a unique learning
environment. Information technology tools are made available onsite and through
the electronic web portal for the pursuit of knowledge and experience. All
activities, content and communications through this portal are monitored on a
continual basis. The misuse of e-mail, chat, and computers, can lead to
disciplinary action. If the contents of an electronic communication contains
any information that you would not want shared publicly it should not be in
your communication. Inaccurate or misleading information can cause harm and in
certain situations are considered felonies. By logging into the AuburnCC
intranet you are agreeing to abide by the policies and confirming your
acceptance in following them.
Warning: Electronic Communications and Activities Are
Being Monitored. Both Federal and State Laws Prohibit the Theft or Abuse of Computers
and Other Electronic Resources Such As Electronic Communications, Systems, and
Services. Abuses Include (but Are Not Limited To) Unauthorized Entry, Use,
Transfer, Tampering With the Communications of Others, and Interference With
the Work of Others and With the Operation of Electronic Communications
Resources, Systems, and Services. The Law Classifies Certain Types of Offenses
As Felonies. Disciplinary Actions. The AuburnCC Policy Prohibits the Use of
AuburnCC Property for Illegal Purposes and for Purposes Not in Support of the Mission of the Career
Center. In Addition to
Any Possible Legal Sanctions, Violators of This Policy May Be Subject to
Disciplinary Action up to and Including Dismissal or Expulsion, As Relevant,
